Founder & Lead Planner of Orchid & Jade Events
Hey, I’m Vanessa! I’m a planner at heart, a problem solver by experience and you can trust me with the details.
I am a firm believer that you should actually enjoy your own celebrations and they should reflect personal touches throughout.
Before Orchid & Jade, I spent years leading teams in healthcare- an environment that taught me how to manage a hundred moving pieces, communicate clearly, anticipate problems, and stay calm when the unexpected happens.
I have always been drawn to the details that make people feel something: a beautifully set table, a thoughtful surprise, a family tradition woven into the day or the tiny personal touches that guests are still talking about afterwards.
Orchid & Jade was created to bring those two sides of me together.
Today I bring the same organization, leadership and genuine care to every celebration I plan- along with love for beautiful details and weddings that feel unmistakably like the people at the center of them.
My job isn’t to take over your wedding, but to take the work and worry off of your shoulders so you can be fully present.
Because the details are handled, you get to have the time of your life.
When I’m not busy planning events, I spend most of my time with my husband of 23 years and my Fluffy French Bulldog, Oliver. I’ve taken to collecting plants and if I’m lucky, keeping them alive. I’ve pretty recently become an empty nester and look forward to all the opportunities that brings.
